COMPETITION RULESBy entering the “SISTERS OF SPIN COMPETITION” the entrant accepts and consents to the following terms and conditions: 1. THE COMPETITION1.1 The “SISTERS OF SPIN COMPETITION” runs from the 4th August until and including 3 September 2010 1.2 Entries close at noon on 26 July 2010 1.3 The winner will be announced after the finals on 3 September 2010 1.4 The winner of the competition will win cash in the amount of R30 000.00 (thirty thousand Rand) 1.5 The competition is hosted and organized by RAYHAS INVESTMENTS (PTY) LTD (2005/016682/07) t/a Stones hereinafter referred to as “Stones”. The official Sponsor of the Competition is The South African Breweries Limited, through its Brutal Fruit brand, herinafter referred to as “SAB” 2. THE ENTRANT2.1 To be eligible to enter the competition, the entrant: Must be 18 years or over on or before 4 August 2010: 2.1.1 Must be a South African citizen and reside in the Republic of South Africa 2.1.2 Must be female and may not be a professional Disc Jockey 2.1.3 Must enter in their personal capacity and not as a business, for example a Close Corporation or Partnership 2.1.4 Must not be a member of staff of Stones or SAB nor a member of their immediate families, their agents or any company associated or indirectly involved with this promotion; and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter and be drawn as the prize winner; 2.1.5 May not have a criminal record 2.1.6 Must be available for all training sessions, regional and National gigs, shop play offs, semi finals and finals; 2.1.7 Must be willing to perform from pre-approved play-lists 2.1.8 Must please enclose a photo of herself 2.2 The entrant hereby grants permission to Stones and SAB for the use of her name and photographs in advertising and promotional material for this promotion without claim to any additional compensation. 2.3 The entrant agrees to keep confidential any knowledge about Stones and SAB and their respective business, personal and/or operations received by her as a result of her participation in the competition. 2.4 The entrant hereby acknowledges that entry does not guarantee acceptance and participation in the competition. 2.5 The judges decision is final with regards to who is selected to participate and no correspondence will be entered into. 3. WINNER3.1 The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 3.2 The winner of the competition may be required to sign a three month exclusive DJ contract with Stones and must be prepared to travel nationally. 4. DISCLAIMER AND INDEMNITY4.1 The entrant accepts that participation in this competition is at her own risk 4.2 Stones, SAB and affiliated sponsors are herby indemnified by the entrant and /or her legal guardian in that under no circumstances whatsoever shall Stones or SAB be liable for a claim from the entrant or any other 3rd party for loss, damage to property including own property, injury and/or death incurred or suffered by the entrant or any 3rd parties arising while participating in this competition and/or while en-route to or from a venue in order to participate in this competition or after having participated in this competition. 4.3 By participating in this competition the entrant, and in the case of a minor duly assisted by her guardian, agrees to indemnify and hold Stones, SAB and affiliated sponsors harmless from any and all losses and damages, rights, claims and actions that may be brought by themselves or her legal guardian and/or any acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries and/or claims based on publicity rights, defamation and/or invasion of privacy. 5. GENERAL5.1 The prizes are not transferable to any other person. 5.2 No alternative prize is available on entrants’ request 5.3 Use of false name or addresses, i.e. a name by which the entrant is not usually known, will disqualify her from receiving any prize. 5.4 Contestants who are rude, abusive or deemed otherwise unsuitable by Stones and/or SAB will be expelled from participating in the competition with immediate effect. While participating in the competition and related activities, the entrant shall ensure that she does not engage in any activity, or conduct herself in a manner that could raise questions about or diminish in any way in the eye of the general public, Stones’ or SAB’s integrity, impartiality, reputation, business conduct or corporate image 5.5 Stones reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Entry in the competition implies acceptance of these rules.
